DIY Belt for kids upcycling mommy’s old scarf!

by

Diapositiva1Hello everyone!!
Today I want to guide you through a super easy tutorial to make a DIY belt for your daughter starting from that old scarf you’ve not been using for ages! Ready? It’s fun and quick!

Diapositiva2I used an old silk scarf that belonged to my mom, but it definitely looks TOO “vintage” for me and I never actually wear it. Yet, I love the white polka dots on the deep blue fabric, and I thought it could be perfect as a belt for my skinny toddler, whose denim shorts are always too large, no matter the size!

Hi everyone!

Today I’m sharing an easy DIY project: a flower box to be put inside your baby’s nursery or everywhere else in your house! Let’s say you have a bright and cozy spot in your home where you love spending relaxing moments sipping a coffee… why not cheering it further up with some colored flowers in a window box? I love the idea!!

You simply need a plastic flower box, floral foam and fabric flowers. I chose daisies and tulips since they are my favorite, but you can obviously pick whichever you like and also make them yourself! … Read more...

Blog Planner FREE Printable!

The idea of writing a blog was still taking its shape into my mind and I was already overwhelmed by notes, reminders, random notebook pages, sketches, etc. Well, the good thing is that the ideas were freely flowing but… what a mess!!

So, I immediately started to look for some kind of organization and I found myself urging the help of a “Blog planner”. Well, turns out I’m not the only one, since I found many different blog planners online (provided by other generous bloggers), yet I was not entirely satisfied with any of these different versions.

Snuggles for the eyes - vol1

I’ve always loved fashion. Yes, I’m Italian, I guess it is part of my DNA :)

And since I’ve become a mom… well, I totally lost my mind for BABY and KID FASHION! It must be for the cute  pastel colors, for the soft and tender textures, for the adorable prints… whatever the spell is, I simply can’t resist admiring the beautifully designed clothes for the kids, and wish that lovely dress is available for teenagers too, so I still have a chance to fit in it (even if I’m not a teenager anymore…) :)

OK, it’s true that kids grow … Read more...

Delightful Pastel Nurseries

When I got pregnant with my baby girl a whole new world opened up for me. Literally. And it was the greatest blessing of my life.

Before that, I used to be a neuroscientist wannabe, i.e. a post-doc research fellow who used to work interminable hours in a lab with the hope to really contribute and make the difference. Well, turned out I actually was VERY FAR from all of this, and motherhood opened up my eyes to the truth. Long story. Anyway, the last trimester of pregnancy also gave me an invaluable chance: get (finally!!!!) more time to catch … Read more...

Last minute Easter Gift Box!

by

bunnyWW

This year I got a little late with all Easter preparations, and I found myself in the urge of coming up with something cute yet simple for two special moms I’ve recently had the blessing to become close to. No time for making my own printables, no time for setting up a DIY gift box… so what could I do? Recycle boxes from my wedding and borrow a printable from another blogger!!

So, first of all I used a very cute Bunny layout from a free printable generously shared by Erin from Strawberry Mommycakes via http://www.Iheartnaptime.net (be sure you get … Read more...

Keep track of yearly world events in a… fashionable way!

by

elle mag

I have a very clear memory of something that happened last year, at the beginning of March.

It was a bright and sunny day, and I was lying in a hospital bed and reading my favourite fashion magazine, Elle.

Yes, I had just delivered my baby, and she was peacefully sleeping in a tiny crib next to me. As I was flipping through the shiny pages a sudden thought occurred to me: what will it be like, our world, in 20, or 30, or 40 years?

Will the pollution be decreased? Will poverty throughout the world be defeated? Will … Read more...

A Super-delicious, Super-healthy, and Super-easy breakfast cake!

by

plumcake1

Even if this is not a food blog, I wanted to share a random recipe of an exquisite breakfast cake that my mum used to bake for me  very often (let’s say, always!), and that nowadays is never missing in my kitchen for Minnie!

This is a very simple yet yummy recipe that everyone in the family, and especially children, can enjoy for breakfast … or in any other moment of the day! It’s kind of a loaf cake, very popular in Italy, which we call with an English name: plumcake (no plums involved, though!).

My Minnie has already turned … Read more...
